MEMORIES AND IMAGES OF THE 70s #2

Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Tirso Cruz III, Eddie Peregrina, Jay Ilagan, Hilda Koronel and Edgar Mortiz--- undoubtedly the top young stars of the 70s. These stars ruled and reigned; their fans shrieking, yelling, cursing; their movies, filmed in a shortest possible time, were all box-office hits.

Another set of young stars surfaced and you probably know and remember them--- Novo Bono,Jr., Sahlee Quizon, Paolo Romero, Esperanza Fabon, Perla Adea, Romy Mallari, Geraldine, Mildred Ortega, Ed Finlan, Darius Razon, Rhodora Silva, Efren Montes, Boy Mondragon… T
hough they had a brief and short stint in the movies, these personalities also figured prominently in the movie circles and were able to imprint vividly in the minds and memories of those who grew up during that era.

To bring back this nostalgic feeling, here are the images of some of the wonderful movie ads of the 70s. It brings smile to my face--- Hope it does to most of you!

Simon,
Ah, Pearl Theater. My favorite, it had the darkest balcony in all of Manila.
